These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Ableten, operated by Aljebra Inc. ("Aljebra," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Ableten, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

At a glance

Ableten helps you save, organize, and use your own research, recommendations, links, images, and notes.
You remain responsible for the content you save and for having the rights to use it.
Ableten is not a substitute for professional travel, legal, financial, medical, or other expert advice.
Services may change, be unavailable, or include third-party services and links.
These Terms are governed by Delaware law, with disputes heard in Delaware courts.

1. The Services

Ableten includes the Ableten website, web application, Chrome extension, email capture features, and related research, writing, organization, and trip-planning tools (collectively, the "Services"). The Services may let you save highlights, links, images, recommendations, original notes, and other material; organize that material into collections; and use features that help you create plans, citations, drafts, or other outputs.

We may also offer optional integrations with third-party services, including a potential ChatGPT integration. If made available, those integrations may be subject to additional third-party terms, permissions, and privacy policies.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity that occurs through it. Provide accurate information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and notify us promptly at cs@ableten.xyz if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, save, upload, or create through the Services ("Your Content"). You grant Aljebra a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services you request.

You represent that you have the rights, permissions, and authority needed to save, upload, share, or otherwise use Your Content through the Services. You are responsible for deciding what content to save, share, export, or provide to a third-party integration.

4. Acceptable use

You may use the Services only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. You may not:

use the Services to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or harm others;
upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the Services, or bypass security measures;
use automated means to scrape, harvest, reverse engineer, or overload the Services except where permitted by law;
misrepresent your identity, impersonate another person, or use another person's account without permission;
use the Services to create, store, or distribute unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or infringing material; or
resell, lease, or provide access to the Services unless we agree in writing.

5. Third-party services and AI features

The Services may connect to or rely on third-party services, such as authentication providers, cloud infrastructure, analytics providers, AI providers, browsers, email systems, and websites you choose to save from. We do not control those services, and their availability, content, and terms are their responsibility.

If you use an AI-assisted feature, any output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your purpose. Review outputs before relying on or sharing them. If we make an optional ChatGPT integration available and you choose to connect it, information you explicitly authorize or select may be shared with OpenAI/ChatGPT to provide that feature, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Ownership and feedback

Except for Your Content, Aljebra and its licensors own the Services, including their software, designs, trademarks, and other intellectual-property rights. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Services or any right to use our name, logos, or branding except as necessary to use the Services.

If you send us suggestions, feedback, or ideas, you give us permission to use them without restriction or compensation, although we are not required to use them.

7. Availability and changes

We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, or third-party service.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the Services or others, or if we must do so to comply with law. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends, though provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALJEBRA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Ableten is a tool for organizing and using information. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, travel, safety, immigration, tax, or other professional advice. You are responsible for verifying information, making your own decisions, and obtaining professional advice when appropriate.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALJEBRA AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALJEBRA'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID ALJEBRA FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS.

11. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Aljebra and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from Your Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Aljebra consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice through the Services or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
