Group trip planner

Plan group trips from real recommendations—not AI guesses

Collect places your friends love, turn saved links and screenshots into a day-by-day itinerary, and share a travel plan your crew can refine together.

Ableten is a collaborative trip planner built for group vacations, friend trips, and multi-party travel—starting from the restaurants, maps links, and recs you already have in chats and inboxes.

Group trip planning is broken

Spreadsheets, group chats, and generic AI tools weren't built for coordinating real recommendations across multiple people.

AI trip planners get it wrong

Most tools invent restaurants and activities instead of using places your group actually wants to visit.

Recommendations live everywhere

Maps links, screenshots, and “you have to go here” texts are scattered across WhatsApp, email, and DMs—hard to compare or prioritize.

Logistics are hard to coordinate

Timing, distance, and who is free when rarely make it into a plan everyone can trust.

Shared itineraries aren't easy to edit

Static docs and PDFs don't let the group comment, adjust, or join for only part of the trip.

Group trip planner FAQ

How is Ableten different from Wanderlog or other trip planner apps?

Wanderlog excels at building itineraries from scratch inside a travel app. Ableten starts upstream: collecting messy recs from friends (links, screenshots, chats), organizing them into collections, then composing a plan grounded in those sources. It's research → itinerary, not blank-slate → itinerary.

Can friends add restaurant and place recommendations to my trip?

Yes. Use Collect Recs to send a link where friends submit places they love. Each submission saves with links and context into your trip collection, ready for the itinerary board.

Can we share and edit a group travel itinerary together?

You can share an itinerary draft via link today. Collaborative commenting, logistics constraints (time and distance), and join-for-part-of-trip planning are in development—email us for early access.

Can I save Google Maps links and screenshots from group chats?

Yes. Forward images and links to Ableten's email capture, or save places while browsing with the Chrome extension. Map links and notes are extracted and organized automatically.

Does Ableten work for partial trips—when not everyone joins the whole time?

That's on the roadmap: mark who joins which days and keep a single shared itinerary. Join the early access list to help shape it.

Is Ableten free for trip planning?

Ableten offers a free Chrome extension and web app. Sign up at app.ableten.xyz to build trip collections and generate itinerary drafts. Questions? Visit our support center.
